Jacuzzi

From Friuli to California, the story of the seven Jacuzzi brothers began in 1917 like many others, but it continues in an extraordinary way. From their pen and their hands came pumps, propellers and even aeroplanes until, by chance in 1956, a prototype of the Jacuzzi® hydromassage bath. The "fault" was due to the rheumatoid arthritis of one of the Jacuzzi brothers: to cure it, his father converted a pump mechanism into a therapeutic device.

In 1968 Roy Jacuzzi realised the potential of this invention and he gave it a definite shape, by designing the hydromassage system with nozzles integrated into the architecture of the bath, which is still today the basis for each new model. It was called the Roman Bath, as a tribute to the refined thermal culture of the ancient Romans.

The past of hydromassage has become an extraordinary present. One after the other the baths in the Jacuzzi® collection have been created, being different in shape, size and style, but the same in their standard of high quality. Showers have been added, provided with hydromassage functions and steam baths, which are real "machines of well-being" designed for those who have little space. Instead, the Maxi Jacuzzi® require plenty of space, they are mini hydromassage pools to be inserted into green garden areas or under the sky in attics, to unite people not only in the name of well-being but also for the pleasure of staying together.
