The start-up of all activities in 1992 by Umberto Gessi was a bold gamble, when it seemed there was nothing to be invented in the taps sector, a saturated market by the presence of many historical brands. Open to changes, Gessi was able to create a brand that became an international reference for design and technology for taps. The production now takes place in a multipurpose industrial park which covers an area of over 800 thousand m2.

The reasons of such success (and countless attempts to imitate Gessi) can be searched
in the new perspective in which Gessi considered the product. The concept of minimalist origins has evolved, mixing styles, absorbing other suggestions, just as in fashion.
