Antonio Lupi

The mission of Antonio Lupi Design is the production of top end bathroom furniture - furniture, mirrors, accessories, sanitaryware, washbasins, bathtubs, taps, shower trays and enclosures - designing and creating bathrooms according to functionality, design, evocative and symbolic criteria. Renown designers collaborate with the company like, Carlo Colombo, Mauro Carlesi, Nevio Tellatin, Riccardo Fattori, Anne e Patrick Poirier to name a few. Established in 1950 by Antonio Lupi as a glass working laboratory, turned into an industry in the 60's when a part of the present plant covered a surface of 5000 m2 and the best machinery available at the time was used, the firm was located in Stabbia, a small town in the province of Florence. The 70's were important years for the factory: the increase of employees, the growth of net sales and distribution, attendance to fairs in Italy and abroad, creation of permanent shows, export in extra european countries, United States, South Africa reaching also the far east. Those were years of big changes, always bearing in mind the key factors that imposed our products in the market: care and attention to detail, quality, tailor-made product, orders dispached quickly and accurately, all specific aspects rooted in the dna of the enterprise. The second half of the 80's are characterized by a decisive design orientation together with the collaboration of famous designers and architects, the creation and production of a complete collection that revolves around the bathroom. The Company believed so much in the values of its own production that was the first bathroom furniture manufacturer to attend in year 2000 the Salone del Mobile fair in Milan, in the pavillion dedicated to design. In 2007, one year later the death of the founder, the company logo has been revised echoing the design of the original trademark. In 2008 on Via di Porta Tenaglia in Milan the first Antonio Lupi showroom was opened and the advertising campaign established with the motorbike sponsoring of Yamaha team Tech3 with Colin Edwards and James Toseland riding in the MotoGp was included.
